Sunday Post

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

Normally I do a weekly wrap-up type post on Monday, but I've decided that during the week I'll only have mostly content posts and on the weekends I'll do my personal posts. Also, I've been reading everyone else's Sunday Posts for a while now, and I just wanted to join up.

I was a little light on reviews in June. Life has just been too hectic to get a lot of reading done. I've been reading The Darkening Dream for the whole month. The fact that it has taken me over a month to read one book is ridiculous, but life happens. Once CJ's birthday party is over with this month, I should have a lot more time on my hands. I did finish three books this month, I just haven't reviewed any of them. I read The Mermaid Chair. I had a lot of expectations on that book and it just did not deliver. I found the whole book boring, I hated the main character, and I despised the ending. I finished The Bloggess' book and I peed my pants laughing a few times. I will definitely be reviewing that one. It is too freaking funny.

Weekly/Monthly Wrap-Up
June has always been my favorite month. My birthday is at the tail end of it, summer begins. It's just a fun time. This month was no exception. Sara-Marie and Mark came to visit, we saw the American Stonehenge. CJ played with water on really hot days. It wasn't a very exciting month, but we had a lot of fun and got a lot accomplished. Next month is going to be even more exciting with CJ's birthday party on the 8th and my birthday cookout on the 7th. I just found out that my cousins Caitlin and Connor are coming to visit this month too so I'm super excited about that. The best news that I got this week is this though. I got accepted into a Master's program!!! Come September, I will be studying for my Master's in Elementary Education! I am so excited. It is going to be a whole new chapter in my life and I can't wait to get started.

Next Month
I will hopefully have a lot more book-related posts. Plus I will share the details on CJ's dinosaur themed 2nd birthday. See you on the flip side! Pin It
