Climb Aboard the Polar Express!

Last year I brought CJ to the local movie theatre so he could experience The Polar Express. He was barely two, but he loved it. I was looking forward to bringing him back this year, but I found something even better... the ACTUAL Polar Express!!

Tickets please.
All Aboard! The Polar Express comes to life this holiday season as the Cape Cod Central Railway rolls out of the station bound for the "North Pole!" Come early and climb aboard with your family to cozy-up and enjoy our festively-decorated vintage train cars. Dancing chefs deliver hot chocolate and a cookie to each guest to savor while music from the Polar Express movie plays en route to the North Pole. Make sure to have your tickets handy, because your conductor will be by shortly to punch each child's ticket.

Before arriving at the North Pole, the iconic book, The Polar Express is read as your Chef turns the pages to share the beautiful illustrations in the original book. With the station far away, The Polar Express magically arrives at the outskirts of Santa's North Pole village, where Santa Claus himself and his elves joyously welcome the train! As you stay comfortably settled and warm in your seat, Santa and his helper elf board the train! During the return trip, Santa will greet each child with his signature holiday spirit and the first gift of Christmas: a bell cut from his sleigh. It is said that only children and those who still believe can actually hear the bell ring.

Join in the singing as your Chef or Conductor lead Christmas caroling on the 30-minute return trip. For those wanting the magic to last or to do a little Christmas shopping, visit our gift shop in the station for special Polar Express gifts and merchandise. Oh, one last thing, children are encouraged to wear their PJ's; adults who still believe have been known to wear them, too! So, are you coming? All Aboard! All Aboard the Polar Express is coming to the Cape Cod Central Railway, visit http://www.capetrain.com/ or call 888-797-7245 to climb aboard.

I am so freaking excited to take CJ to this. I am getting choked up just writing about it. He is going to LOVE IT!

The Polar Express Playdate

A local movie theater in my town Chunky's Cinema Pub has a free monthly kid's movie. It is great because they don't care if kids run around or are loud or throw their food at the screen. Ok they might care if the food gets on the screen, but otherwise it's all ok. This month's movie was The Polar Express. I've never been to this theater before, so it was an adventure for CJ and I. They let us into the theater at 11. We sat down at tables in these big comfy chairs and got to order lunch. CJ had the Donkey and Dragon Fingers (chicken fingers) and I had the Pirates of the Caribbean quesadillas. We got our lunch really fast and then we waited for the movie to start. CJ loved it. He was mostly interested in his chicken fingers and the fact that there were other kids he could see running around. But I was really impressed with how well he behaved. He sat in the high chair for 90% of the movie. Towards the end, I let him down so he could run because I knew he was going to start screaming if he didn't. The camera battery died right as we got into the movie, so my pics are only from before.

What do you mean you don't want animal crackers?!

Fine. More for me.

Literally running into the theater.

Why's it so dark in here?

No more animal crackers!?

Let me double check.
Never mind I found ketchup. Yum!

If you are ever in the Haverhill MA area, check out Chunky's and see what is playing. I plan on going with Craig on date night sometime soon. :) Pin It
