Super Dad Father's Day Giveaway Hop! #SuperDad

Welcome to Babies, Books, and Signs' stop on the Super Dad Father's Day Giveaway Hop! The blog hop is hosted by MamaNYC. There are over 40 bloggers all giving away awesome father-related gifts. The hop runs from June 2nd - 10th. I hope you stop by many people's posts, and enter to win some great prizes.

I wasn't lucky enough to have a super dad, but I have an amazing husband. He is my baby's super dad. CJ is a lucky boy.

Since I am a Barefoot Books ambassador, I will giving away your choice of one of three Barefoot Books father figure books. There are so many great books available. Here are the five you can choose from!

Venture to the grocery store with this father-daughter duo on a very lively shopping trip. As their cart swings down the aisles, the pair create minor calamity left and right. The rhyming, bouncy text teaches an important lesson about accidents and responsibility, all with a healthy dose of humor.
Twist your way into this story that introduces both yoga and professions. The nine yoga poses show how the practice of yoga relates to everyday life, and encourages readers to stretch both their bodies and their minds. There are tips about practice and preparation, yoga life, and having the right attitude.
A lively collection of tales about the daughters of kings, merchants, warriors and peasants, and their relationships with their fathers, drawn from different traditions around the world. Discover how fathers learn to love wisely and well, and how daughters achieve independence. The anthology includes such folklore favorites as "Beauty and the Beast" and "Prince," as well as less familiar stories.
Hop in the yellow car and look out for all the other forms of transportation on the way home from Grandpa's. A beautiful, double-page spread at the end features all of the colors and modes of transportation from the story.

Enhanced CD edition includes an animated video and audio singalong sung by Fred Penner.
This beautifully told story follows Billy from early spring to late summer as he helps his grandpa on his vegetable patch. They dig the hard ground, sow rows of seeds, and keep them watered and safe from slugs. When harvest time arrives they can pick all the vegetables and fruit they have grown. Children will be drawn in by the poetry of the language and the warm illustrations, while also catching the excitement of watching things grow!

  1. My husband is the hero father in life that I know above all. Not only is he an exceptional husband and role model for our kids as to how to be an exceptional husband and father, he is an awesome dad to our 5 kids. When I met Todd he had sole full custody of his biological daughter Amanda 9 and was doing an outstanding job with her all on his own. I was raising my 4 biological kids, several who had some fairly serious health issues and when Todd and I started dating we fell in love with eachothers kids as if they were our very own together and he asked me to teach him how to help with the kids special needs and he really went above and beyond to prove how much they mean to him, when we got married it was a family marriage of all 7 of us and we raised all 5 as OUR kids and they all turned out amazingly awesome. He is still a great dad to them even now with them being young adults on their own. He's still an exceptional husband too he literally awes me.

  3. My father was an AMAZING father and the best Grandad a boy could have ( i now have 5 sons, but he only met 3 of them). Unfortunately my Dad passed away when my 3rd child was only 7 weeks old, and I miss him everyday. My husband is a good man, and does his best, but my Dad was THE Dad and noone can live up to how amazing, and unselfish, and giving and caring he was. The world is a worse place without him.

  10. My father has been working offshore since I was little, and I was only able to see him once a month. He has sacrificed so much time just to support all of my family through great times, as well as tough economic times. He has given us life-long values to live by, especially how to work hard to take care of your family.

I truly love, appreciate and respect the man who has been like a father to me since I was an early-teen. He's the person who I connect with on Father's Day and see on Christmas. Thanks, Dave! You helped make me the person I am today.

  30. My father has passed away, but my husband is an amazing father to all of our kids. When we met, I had 1 adopted son and 4 biological sons. He had 2 sons and 2 daughters. We created this family, and our daughter came along as a surprise. He has opened his heart to all of my children and become the father that they desperately needed in their lives.

  45. My dad passed away when I was 13 but I was blessed to have a wonderful grandfather to be my father figure until I was 15 when he passed away. I always said I wanted a little girl because I wanted her to have a relationship with her daddy like all my friends had but I missed out on. I couldn't be thankful enough that the Lord blessed me with a great husband and my daughter a great daddy! He is awesome with her...reading to her, playing one of her many imagination games and of course allowing her to do his hair and even makeup :) Makes me smile and my heart happy!
