Book Release & Giveaway - On The Bright Side

On The Bright Side is a new book from author S.R. Johannes. Her previous book Untraceable, was described as a "thrilling story... dramatic entanglement of mystery, deception, and teen romance. The action flows like brisk mountain stream interspersed with rapids, holding suspense to the last page" by Kirkus Reviews.
With On The Bright Side, Johannes changes from mystery and suspense to humor and action.

The heroine of her novel, Gabby, has died and been sent to Cirrus, the main rung of Heaven. There Skyphones and InnerNets are all the rage. Gabby discovers that she has been assigned to protect her school nemesis, Angela. As if that wasn't hard enough, she soon discovers that Angela is now dating her would-be boyfriend Michael.

When Gabby gets in trouble for not protecting Angela, she is put on probation. Determined to right her wrongs, Gabby steals an ancient artifact that allows her to return to Earth for just one day. Little does Gabby know that by doing this, she has put the whole future of Cirrus, and Heaven itself, in jeopardy.

S.R. Johannes is the author of Untraceable (a teen wilderness thriller) and On The Bright Side ( a tween paranormal). She lives in Atlanta Georgia with her dog, British-accented husband, and the huge imaginations of their little prince and princess, which she hopes- someday- will change the world. After earning an MBA and working in corporate america, S.R. Johannes traded in her expensive suits, high heels, and corporate lingo for a family, flip-flops, and her love of writing.

  1. Ooh, looks interesting!

Is the contest specifically for a Kindle edition, or could it be an epub for us non-Kindle users? :)

  2. Would I make a good angel? lol... maybe. If I ended up in a situation like Gabby's, I would save my nemesis from, say, getting hit by a car, but it seems likely that situations would come up when I'd want to teach her a lesson, which is probably not an angel's place. :P

  3. I don't think I'd make a very good angel. I guess it would depend on who I had to protect. If it was my daughter or someone in my family then I'd be a good one but if I had to protect someone I really don't like, then it would be hard!

  6. I think I would make a good angel! I always care more about others than myself so I would hope I can still protect others in the afterlife :) As far as the author info part goes I went to her website (which is fabulous) I found out she loves movies, yoga, children s books....and dreams of sleeping in on the weekends hehe Being a mom is really hard!

  7. I would definitely make an awful angel for I would be too busy touring the world with my new wings to care about others.

I know I am selfish. XP
