First, a confession. I totally judge books by their covers. I do, it's true. I started reading historical fiction originally because a lot of them have amazingly gorgeous covers. Philippa Gregory's books for example have gorgeous and mysterious covers. Now on to the list!

3. Secret History of the Pink Carnation by Lauren Willig (5 stars)
4. Midnight Pearls by Simon Pulse (3 stars)
5. Lost Art of Keeping Secrets by Eva Rice (3 stars)
6. Peony in Love by Lisa See (5 million stars)
7. Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater (4 stars)
8. Juliet by Anne Fortier (3 stars)

  1. I LOVE PEONY IN LOVE. I am so excited this is one your list!!!! That is one of my favorite books ever!!!!! That Pink Carmation one looks intriguing too.

  2. It was such a good and haunting book! Have you read any of Lisa See's other books? They're all amazing.

  3. Lots of people have had Luxe on their list today. I see that you gave it 4.5 stars - I am going to have to check it out!

  4. Indu Sundaresan's book covers are gorgeous though I still haven't read the books. My favorite is Shadow Princess. I love books with saris on the cover. I also liked the cover of Wench and the Pink Carnation book. Some of the books in that series have fantastic covers and others I didn't like as much but I do enjoy reading them!
