Alternative to Expensive Cell Phone Contracts

This post brought to you by TracFone. All opinions are 100% mine.
When I was in high school, all the cool kids had expensive phones. Being poor myself, I desperately wanted a cell phone. My only option back then, was a tracphone. Tracphones were not cool back in the day. So I was just a lame tracphone having nerd.
Nowadays however, tracphones are actually a really inexpensive and not-lame option. There are no contracts, no credit checks, no activation fees, and no cancelation fees! When I had a tracphone, the only option was a lame-ass flip phone. Not anymore! Now you can get brand names like LG, Kyocera, Motorola, Nokia, and Samsung. You can even get "smart" phones like the Blackberry! Here's a video with some of the great features of one of the phones. So many features
You can choose from various monthly plans or even a special offer yearly plan. You can pay as you go online or buy purchasing "minutes" at stores all over the country. If you buy a 1-year service plan, you get double minutes on your phone for life, as well as an extra 800 minutes, for only $119. You can choose monthly plan with 200 minutes for less than $30. Or you can choose 50 minutes plan for only $9.99. Watch this video about their lack of contracts! Real TracFone customers
Tracphones also include long-distance calling for no extra fee. It's just like calling someone next door!
As far as phone selection, the choices are endless. You can buy a simple phone with only calling and texting capabilites for under $10. If you want a fancy-schmancy phone with special features like a camera, internet access, app capabilities, an mp3 player, and a full QWERTY keyboard, those are available for $29.99. That's a whole lot better than the $200 I paid T-Mobile for my Blackberry.
